AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What steps can I take daily to increase my love for Krishna? I do 2 japa a day and some bhajan and read books of Sri Aurobindo and Maa. Apart from that my whole day is a day of indulgences which take me towards darkness. I can never keep habits for long. Do I don’t want to change bad enough that I’m not changing. Regret and lament🫣 is all that I do after hasty decisions

First thing is to cut out regret and lament. That only saps energy and makes us feel increasingly underconfident and eventually give up effort.

Next is to make Krishna a friend and treat him like a living being. How do you relate with a friend? You share everything with him. When you go out you take him along.  In case you go somewhere you let him know and stay connected.  Offer all your activities and actions to the Mother and Sri Aurobindo wherever you may be going and whatever you may be doing. As for Krishna take him along wherever you go as a bosom friend.  Write a daily diary to the Mother and remember Her first thing in the morning and last thing at night and as often as you can.

You will slowly see the difference.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

My friend called me and told me that he had a dream in which I was reading Savitri and explaining to him how Savitri accepts and embraces human struggles. Then he told me that he felt a strange sense of déjà vu, as if he had already told me about this before. Is there any meaning to this dream? 📖💭

This dream suggests an old connection with Savitri, the book, and perhaps with you as well. It seems something deeply imprinted in the psychic being, some kind of a soul memory or so. Difficult to say more than that.

Connecting the dots began when Their words gave meaning and touch to my life. When adverse forces rushed in and urged me to escape the cosmos, Sri Arvind and Sri MA anchored me with the truth that Her work is to be done right here on Earth. I learned that true understanding does not lie in the mind’s synthesis, but in quietude and inner union. First Union with the Divine, then Work. 🌸🙏🏻

Yes, I understand. What I have understood as the essence and crux of this yoga is opening and surrender to The Mother. The whole secret and safety lies in this central secret of the integral Yoga as Sri Aurobindo put it. Here are few passages that reveal to us the core of the integral yoga.

‘By remaining psychically open to the Mother, all that is necessary for work or sadhana develops progressively,…
