AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What is the influence of one’s company🤔? If some one is worldly or ambition oriented does it have direct impact on our goal? Please Explain.

We are not a rigidly closed containers as our body would make us believe. Just as many physical materials and forces enter the body from outside so too and much more so, psychological energies and forces enter us through an inner contagion.  Hence the influence of our psychological environment and atmosphere is obvious.  Too many desires and too much ambition deviate and detract our energies from the chosen goal. The first step therefore is to bring into them a sattwic rectitude and moderation. Later, when they are weakened it is relatively easy to shake them off.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

You said that destruction was completely avoidable if those involved in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata responded to the Divine Will but it is also said that Divinity of an Avatar will be fully manifested when there is great darkness or adversity at the other side. Without Ravana how the Divinity of Rama would have been fully manifested and also without Kansa or Duryodhana how the Divinity of Krishna would have been fully manifested? There is also the story of Jai – Vijay so is it the leela of the Divine for his complete manifestation or the distortion in creation🤔?

Why this is happening? Due to this unknowing difficulties I am not able to turn The Mother and Sri Aurobindo. When I think about Sri Aurobindo I feel causeless doubt, depression, no aspiration and bhakti towards mother and Sri Aurobindo. What should I do😥?

It is definitely the play of the mind making you feel like this. The only truth, if at all, could be that turning towards Sri Aurobindo and the Mother through some ego in the seeking puts a tremendous …

Being a bad friend: I see a certain insensitivity in me to other people. I lack empathy in some situations, and it makes me feel very bad about myself. I have lost friends in the past because of this. While I generally try to help people, there is something in me unsympathetic towards others. Because of this tendency, I feel myself incapable towards building lasting friendships. I have cried about it, and at this point I don’t even feel like having friends anymore because I’m conscious of this defect in my nature, so I don’t want to repeat the same cycle again and experience the same moral pain that I feel. For now, I can only observe it and feel bad about it. How to change it I have no idea🫤.

This is not such a big defect and in certain ways it is not necessarily a defect. It is possibly because you make your own choices and have your own mind, a kind of individuality that can sometimes become a barrier in opening to …
