AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

The more I see the world, there is an anguish that grows in me at times. I am taught to pray to the divine in those situations. I was asking the mother to help me be conscious of my life purpose, after which, I feel more and more identified with Earth as a being, and so recently, there is an inner need in me to pray for the manifestation of divine will on Earth. I even feel like praying and offering certain natures of certain people I know to the mother for the best for them to happen. Is this okay? To pray to the mother for others, to pray or aspire for increasing the intensity of Earth’s aspiration? Somewhere mother has said that it is better if the person needing change prays on their own instead of someone else praying for them or am I misunderstanding something here? Thank you🙂

To pray for all, even for the wicked and the wretch, is indeed the highest of prayers. Such universal prayers are described in the Bhagawat and the Upanishads. The Mother’s Prayers and the boons that Savitri seeks for Earth and men as revealed by Sri Aurobindo are a living testimony of such prayers and their great value for the Divine.  It shows a wideness of inner consciousness and an aspiration for the Divine Manifestation upon earth which is directly in line with the Mother’s Yoga. It is indeed a beautiful Grace to have such a rarest of rare aspiration.
Affectionately,

Alok Da

They are not her truth at least not yet. It is primarily a vital love, at least from her side, that remains and lasts only as long as the ..

I have heard that Mr. Sonam Wangchuk and his wife are devotees of Sri Aurobindo. While his demands may be genuine, the forces with whom he has aligned himself seem to me hostile to India. What are your views on this? 🪧👥🪧🍂

It is very easy to use the word devotee. One doesn’t become a devotee by proclaiming to be one. Even Ravana proclaimed himself to be a great, even the greatest devotee of Shiva but his thoughts and deeds were otherwise leading to perdition. A true devotee of Sri Aurobindo would know that Sri Aurobindo and The Mother were not …
