AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

My mother was and is still is biased towards my elder brother🫤. I do understand she is just a child of an environment that has been biased towards male child. Today I do understand it and to an extent dont hold her responsible, but still the lifelong hurt is there. But this question is more about her than me, has she created Karma? Can she resolve it in this lifetime? But for that I have to tell her that I have been hurt.

She is 89. Dada and her were married for 69 years and after his passing has started talking about being ready to die. So telling her at this time seems cruel.

But telling her and giving her time to resolve this Karm ( if it was created at all ) is that way to go or letting it go and working on my own feelings is the right way to go? Will giving her chance to resolve this Karm help in her evolution. Or this was not Karm at all and will dissolve as minor matter?

She has created karma by attachment and its inevitable result is suffering regardless of the nature of attachment.

It is not good to judge people and give our views until they ask. You can tell her you have been hurt to clear your grudge but it will create pain and guilt in a lady who is growing old..

Best is to offer it all to the Divine Grace and leave her, yourself and others to go through the lessons of Fate..

Affectionately,

Alok Da

First thing is to cultivate an inner quietude as it is only in a peaceful inner state that one can see better, think better, act better. For that seek some time to sit quietly and call Her Peace. It also helps to take a bath or simply ….

Sir, is there any arrangement in the ashram to volunteer for a short time? I wish to take a break of a week from work and come to Pondicherry (whenever it’s possible). Will I be assigned work? Also, I have never been in Pondicherry for more than a few hours. Whenever I come for a day’s visit, what is the best way to spend my time😊 ?(apart from Pranam and meditation at the samadhi which the first priority naturally) [Conti]

There is generally no such arrangement for a week-long volunteering since one needs to learn the work first. It will be better to come and stay first and spend your time by the samadhi, join in the collective meditations, sit in …
