AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Then only prayers associated with faith surely reach the Mother. Then what about emotional prayers? When a child is crying in front of the picture of the Mother. Do all these prayers reach the Mother? πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·

A prayer rising on the crest of emotion is true prayer. Emotions imply faith. It is the mind, especially the physical mind, that brings doubt. The very act of crying before the Divine implies that our inner being knows that She is real and living and right in front of us. Emotions turned towards the Divine with the impulse of seeking help or intervention are known as aart bhaav and the Divine responds to them, instantaneously, so to say. This instantaneous response does not necessarily imply immediate wish fulfilment – that may happen and often does happen, but if, for any reason, the wish is denied or cannot be fulfilled right away, yet the Divine comes and supports us from within through the journey.Β

Though some prayers may not be sanctioned by Her, it’s ok. But how can a child confirm to him that what you prayed to her with your emotional heart surely reached the Divine Mother?

You will feel an inner peace, and if you wait with trust and patience, you will know why the prayer was delayed or denied.

Or he has to wait for even years?

Why not change if the prayer seems to be denied? Perhaps the Divine wants to tell us something. Why not learn and grow in faith and surrender, or try to listen to Her in the quietude of your heart?

Affectionately,

Alok Da

One can fully understand the space from which this question comes. When we look at this world in all its grim and sordid aspects (and there are plenty if we go down the lanes of history), then it is natural to blame it all on the Creator, to pass a summary judgment convicting the Divine without even trying to understand the reasons why the world is as it is. …
