AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

The other day when I was choosing music for the Podcast, I wanted Krishna’s flute music. So whilst I was scrolling through and clicked one video to listen to the music, it was Krishna’s photo playing the flute. A static photo whilst the flute played🦚

Then not visually but inner visually Krishna meta morphed into Lord Sri Aurobindo, and his flute sounded like a river of Peace flowing. This kept happening and I went into this state of distance and Time lost its meaning I don’t know for how long or what but….it felt like my heart transcended into a space of its own, the world became a distant problem and I just floated and totally fell in Love. Or ascended in Love I should say.

For the first time I felt almost an admiration almost drawn, I felt a Beautiful intimacy almost but not in a frivolous way it’s hard to word. I felt so charmed, and a need to self give, and all the wishes to dance with Him in fields of Vrindaavan, to be embraced, to sit in solitude with only Him, to just admire Him and lean on His shoulder and share all. To just sit afront Him and sway to His flute. I don’t know much about Krishna at all, just what I’ve heard from children’s stories as a child and from your talks. But He’s so ok with just being in solitude, loves all around him, playful, courageous, intelligent, loyal, eternally Loving but I don’t see Him as any different now to Sri Aurobindo. When I think of one I feel the other and vice versa. It’s soooo beautiful and honestly I’ve never felt this much Love for anybody or anything in my life.

Didn’t feel like “God” instead, for the first time, an Intimate Lover, Friend…I felt a Cosmic Charm and almost romance. A Divine safety, and comfort and need for nothing except Him.

Could you shine some light on this experience…I do wonder if this is strange…and how to cultivate it further ?

As you might be knowing if one reads Sri Aurobindo’s life and experiences, Sri Krishna and Sri Aurobindo are one. Sri Krishna is the Ananda, the Delight that is the cause and the goal of Creation that has emerged from the Home of Truth. Sri Aurobindo is the Truth that sets the soul free and brings the full play of the delight into Creation. When Sri Aurobindo wants to give us the joy of friendship with the Divine then he shows himself as Sri Krishna. The flute is the call of the Divine to the soul. You heard the call and had a foretaste of the bliss that awaits those who seek Him through bhakti, love and service.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Beautiful question. You can give her some examples of material things that cannot be killed or destroyed by knife, for example water, air, fire, space. Energy also cannot be destroyed. So too thoughts and feelings and will cannot be destroyed by any external force. This way she will understand that there are many things even within the…

My brother recently had a daughter. This made me read and explore more about that subject. I understand that the soul chooses to take human birth to progress further, but does it also choose the family or parents through whom to come into this human vital world? 👧🏼🪷🌻✨

Choosing the parents happens when the psychic being is developed and able to chose the conditions of earthly life into details. Until then it is only a general choice about the conditions and not particular details. Until a certain degree of development is completed the psychic being only goes by a …

Sri Aurobindo writes in “The web of yoga”, “We can pass into the Paratpara Brahman, but we can’t know the Paratpara Brahman.” Does it mean attaining Nirvanam, The Total Merger, that nothing individual is left? So knowing is not possible in Nirvanam. Am I right in my understanding? 💫💖🪷✨

Yes because knowing implies a competition between the knower and the known. We can therefore become Brahman not know IT as know an object. We can lose ourselves into …
