AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sometimes I feel following a spiritual path make one feel lonely🤔.

Yes initially it does so because one becomes somewhat disengaged from life as it is today. In a way it helps focus one’s consciousness upon the Divine. The human consciousness that is presently in a scattered state is gathered and concentrated onto the path and the goal. But later one emerges out of this narrowing down into an inner wideness which can include the whole world. One simple practice to thus widen oneself is to see the Divine in everyone. This leads to a reorientation of life, a kind of re-engagement with it but from a different poise. Even when alone one no more feels lonely. With this a new arrangement begins to emerge and new persons more connected with the inner aspiration enter the life to walk alongside.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
