AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What should we do when we are 80šŸ™„?

Let me make it a little more concrete.

When people grow old, many people eventually pass away. I don’t like to use the word death, so they pass away into another dimension.

Let’s say, suppose you got a telegram that today is my last day then where will I go and what should I do?
Now imagine your watch is ticking and there is only one hour left to live. Now you can’t go to the family they are away and your mobile charger is down and you cannot charge it. You are full in the stomach so you cannot even order a good food, your legs are not working, TV is plugged out so what will you do in that one hour?

Now it is said when you are going to depart there are two kinds of ideas about it. One is the materialistic idea that there is nothing, you will just wither away. Another is just before you depart, it has been said by some who have explored this domain that suddenly God or his angel appears before you and imagine he came before you, just imagine he is standing before you and told you, ā€œAsk anything you want, ask.ā€
You have one hour to live or maybe a few moments to live, what will you ask?

Now God appears and gives you five options, 1. You can spend time with your family 2. You can watch TV 3. He says, I’ll get you the best pizza from Italy 4. You have a future life ahead and I am going to make it as beautiful as you want to it to be, now you see you are thinking only of your family and other menial things, then he gives you another option 5. I am going to make you the most beautiful human being in time to come.

So I would ask you a question in return, ā€œwhen you have a beautiful life for yourself, does it not automatically in a sense become beautiful for others?ā€ It’s like a rose blooming, when it blooms don’t we all get the joy? So when we have a beautiful life within, it radiates to all.

Now if I tell you every moment you have this same choice, every time you wake up you have this choice, it’s just that we don’t know what is going to happen.

So what choice will you make every day? So now the best is coming, one is going beyond pizza, TV and fun and we grow in into the best possible, so that’s what we should strive for and if we live like every day we are ready for the last season.

If all our life we are thinking of only children and grandchildren, what will happen in the last season? We will do the same in the last season. If all our life, we are thinking of pizza and TV then in the last season also we will do this only.

So in the end whatever we are occupied in our whole life that we will be pre occupied in the last season as well. So you decide what your last season you want to be and let your pre-occupation start from today because what we are preoccupied with in the last moments decides our future life and the passage after death.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

We recently brought a Shivling from my in-law’s place as they are not able to take proper care of it. My in-laws used to worship it with elaborate rituals. We have also been advised to follow it. To be honest, I don’t have much faith in their long rituals which were advised by our family priest. To me a simple ritual with faith & devotion is what is actually needed in worship🤨.

I understand your situation and have experienced this with other families as well. Ritual involves a,material and a spiritual aspect. The material side is to give bath (wash) the Shivalingam daily and keep it in a …

Dear Alok da I am a woman so it’s very easy to look at Divine as a lover… but how can a man relate to Divine like a lover ? Like when Sri Aurobindo writes the poem on Krishna I can relate feel Krishna in that form but what about a man? This was just silly curious question but thought to askšŸ™‚.

This is something that i struggled with for a while as to how could I see the Beloved in the Mother or bring before Her all my different parts for the needed change and transformation. Soon I realised that it …

Last night, I had a dream where I saw that my father and I were getting a tubewell installed, and at the end, when we inserted the pipe, a lot of water came out and it was sparkling. Then, Grandpa came and asked why we had the tubewell installed, saying that the water is salty. When we drank it, the taste was a bit salty, so I said at least the water would be useful. Later, I saw that my brother and I were checking the car’s headlight, but it didn’t light up. So, I said, doesn’t the light work? What’s the problem? He said it’s fine, and when I turned it on, the light was very dim. Then, we removed the mirror from the headlight and saw that it was giving off very little light. What could be the symbolic meaning of this dreamšŸ¤”?

I don’t think it has any deeper symbolic meaning. Looks more like a dip into the subconscient where the water is not tasty and the lights are dim. But it could also be…
