AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Why alcohol is connected to freedom? These days, just to prove a point people, specially women too have started drinking in the name of freedom 😡 but isn’t real freedom not needing a drink to be happy ? Isn’t real freedom that I don’t need a drink to forget my problems because like an adult one has solved them or faced them ?

Yes the sign of an adult is that one faces the challenge, tries to understand the real problem and finds healthy ways of dealing with it, in fact growing through it. Alcohol is never a solution. It only complicates the problem further.  We Indians believe in the continuity of progress beyond one life. The threads we spin today catch us in its web tomorrow.  Hence one should be careful about one’s actions. But much of humanity today is weak and easily allows evil to take hold and grip our mind and heart and soul.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok da, it’s been like two-three years since I got an introduction to Savitri, and discourses upon it by M P Pandit, yours and others. I intuitively knew – this is a text that I should be carrying like an inner recitation throughout my life from now on, but still I came to postponing and delaying totally getting into it all this time. 😊🙏🏻🌻📖[…]
