AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Last week I was out of town and I noticed that after a days, I was feeling restless and wanting to come back to Pondy. This has happened to me before, whenever I have gone for a vacation. Some people have told me told me that I should go out and experience life outside. However, I don’t want to live in another city, unless I have no other option. Is it a bad thing to want to stay in Pondicherry😳?Ā

It is rather a good sign. It is a sign that you are inwardly very conscious as well as sensitive to the vibrations / forces

Difficult situations in life should make one stronger, but it has happened the opposite in my case. I have become more fearful after facing those difficulties of the past. Now, I tremble🫨 at the thought of any further difficult situations coming my way. Just to mention here – I have been taking antipsychotics for the past 15.2 years.

Yes some people react with fear and once fear sets in it attracts what is feared creating thereby a vicious cycle. The solution is to

Last night, I had another dream in which there was a small snakešŸ outside my old house, and with me was a friend whom I have met very few times and barely know. We tried to kill that snake, but it ran towards the drain of our old house. There, we saw another small snake, and both of them went inside the stone covering the drain. When we removed the stone, we saw a very large snake that extended into the neighbor’s house through that drain. I ran back and told my friend to step back because it was very dangerous. But my friend stayed there to kill it. The snake spoke and said, “How can I leave from here? I’ve been here for so many years.” The snake was very large and lived in the drain near our old house, with its tail inside the neighbor’s house. What does this mean, Alok Da?

It means some old hostile formation is around and while they are being chased, the main force behind them is deeply entrenched in that area.

You said that just reading books isn’t enough, but from my understanding, if one wants to follow Sri Aurobindo’s yoga, the first step should at least be reading their works. Please correct me if I’m wrong. And if reading alone isn’t enough, how should one practice it, specially since it’s so vast and deepšŸ™?

Yes, reading books is helpful but evidently it is not enough. Even in ordinary fields of knowledge such as physics, biology, arts, literature etc we

Why is it that some 50-year-olds, despite having experienced so much in life and claiming to be wise, still fail to grasp certain basic truths? When I ask them not to think negatively, they insist they’re not being negative, just realistic. They say, ā€œThis is how humans are. We have endless responsibilities. You younger ones won’t understand, our minds are always preoccupied.ā€ I can’t help but wonder how, after all these years, they still haven’t learned the fundamentals.😔

Yes some people never really grow up and learn. Instead they take it that whatever they have been or learnt is the ultimate truth and
