AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dear sir, How does psychic๐ŸŒŸ tackle the challenge ofย  collective egoism? Example, even though you want to be free from identity, you are forcefully assigned an identity based on your birth in today’s India. And there are gangs out there waiting to spread hatred against various communities. With what attitude would psychic take up and begin solving problems of such nature?

The psychic looks at the truth in the waiting behind the appearances. It discovers this truth and plucks it out from its folds of secrecy. This true discernment is the power inbuilt within the soul unlike the mind that judges by appearances and it’s ideas and opinions and fixed viewpoints of good and bad.

More specifically, the emergence of collective egoism, – religious, ideological, national, and various other groups is, like the individual ego the first imperfect attempt to find the group soul. It may or may not succeed or succeed partially through a process that runs through centuries. If it succeeds then the group life becomes a great instrument for the Divine Work. If it fails or stifled then the group soul will try to build by its pressure other forms of group life while the form that failed will eventually collapse and disappear, though at times after creating much havoc as soulless forms of society and individuals invariably do.

The individual psychic being will try to bring out the true soul of a group to which it may belong through birth and circumstances or else, if it finds such a task impossible it may abandon the group and seek another that is closer to its true aspiration. But the ego self will only look for comfort zones and personal advantages and lures of this worldly and other worldly desires to decide whether to stay with the group or else convert outwardly to another. But the soul generally tries to put its pressure upon the group life to bring it closer to the real idea, the divine impulsion that gave it birth and brought it out as one of the possibilities out of many.

Affectionately

Alok da

I would like to know how being an only child or having siblings helps in our Spiritual growth. Since I am an only child, I have been judged for it before. A teacher once told me that I was probably spoiled because I am an only child, which is not true. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒผ[…]

Don’t listen to these self-styled psychologists. The main advantage of having a sibling is that one learns sharing at home itself. But the same lesson can be learnt in school and with friends. On the other hand, having a sibling does sometime brings in sibling rivalry which distracts one from the path intended. Having siblings also brings in …

Alongside the Integral path, I feel drawn to certain traditional spiritual practices, such as Chakra-based Mantra Meditation and chanting the Lalita Sahasranamam. Our evolution procedes along several lines through which we have moved. It is natural that some of the practices of certain spiritual paths may extend into our present. For some, these other lines drop altogether and everything gets centered around The Mother…
