AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Could you please explain the concept of “Tri Sandhya or Sandhyavandanam” of Gayatri given in scriptures? The mata is worshipped daily three times in the Morning, Afternoon & Evening in three different forms – Brahmani/Saraswati, Vaishnavi/Lakshmi & Rudrani-Shabhavi/Kali-Durga respectively. On the basis of this, can we consider Mother Gayatri or Savitri as one of the complete forms of Adyashakti for her worship🤔?

The three times sandhya vandana recommended for worship relates to the movement of the earth around the sun. Each phase is symbolic of the cosmic cycle of creation, preservation and destruction. So the deities worshipped are in alignment with the movement of Time as is evident from their names. However what is missing is Ananda, Radha, the fourth and most important aspect of Sacchidananda, of which, Sat is Existence,  the beginning of creation, Brahma, Chit is Consciousness that holds everything together (Vishnu), Chit includes Tapas or Force that can dissolve all things as well as bring them out into existence, Shiva. But Ananda is the secret impulsion behind creation, Krishna.  It is a quaternary and not a trinity.

Adya Shakti is even higher. She is the Power out of which Brahmani, Lakshmi, Rudrani and Radha have emerged. Joining them together does not create the Original Power.

He has asked a question on various aspects and goddesses of the Divine Mother.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. 🥸💍💒[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
