AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

My in-laws have strong opinions and a dominant voice. At times, their energy impacts me deeply. How can I stop being affected by them so much? Right now, we are living away from them due to work. But in the future, if we have to live together, it scares me😱. In their presence, I feel there is no room for self-expression or choice. [conti]

I notice my creative energy drops and I shift into a state of self-protection.

How can I stay connected to my creative power and truth, even in environments where I feel suppressed or unsafe?

Practice inwardness and be an impartial indifferent witness to all that is going on within and outside. Practice equanimity and most important of all, inner remembrance of the Divine Mother.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

A vision in a dream is more difficult to distinguish from a vivid dream-experience but one gets to feel the difference”- from Letters of Yoga. Alok Da, can you please explain the last line written by Sri Aurobindo? 🌄

A vivid dream experience is generally of a symbolic nature that reveals a deeper truth through the sign language of dreams. A vision, on the other hand is an…
