These are three different things that must be seen each in its own right.

Firstly, sex and yoga: as far as most yogas are concerned, including Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga sex is seen as an obstacle. This is not so much because of moral reasons but simply because spiritual life means turning the consciousness and vital energy higher upwards and deeper. Recently, I heard your talk on the Purified Understanding chapter of The Synthesis of Yoga, at the end of which you mentioned about development of the Intuitive faculty within us, which is in the beginning like rare flashes and gets mixed with the lower mentality. 😊[…]

But later, after constant effort and purification, it starts to stabilize and finally becomes fully active. So I had a few questions as follows:

1. How to identify these flashes as different from lower mentality?

2. How to increase their frequency?

3. How might their application be extended to other spheres of life, and not just understanding Spiritual Truths?
