AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

This is in response to a pointed question as below. Some say November 24th is a Day of Victory. By that some mean that the Supermind (Supramental Consciousness) descended into the Physical Consciousness of Sri Aurobindo. 🪷[…]

Others say it was the coming down of Krishna into the Physical Consciousness. If it was the descent of Krishna, does that mean the descent of the Supramental Light?

“Krishna is not the supramental light. The descent of Krishna would mean the descent of the Overmind Godhead preparing, though not itself actually bringing, the descent of Supermind and Ananda. Krishna is the Anandamaya, he supports the evolution through the Overmind leading it towards his Ananda.” — What is the Overmind Godhead preparing? 🫣

It means that Sri Krishna is the Anandamaya, the Godhead of Bliss, who has been behind the evolutionary journey of man so far. He is the Godhead supporting the evolution as well as driving it, taking a human form and assuming a human personality in the Dwapar yuga.

In his actual action, he has taken his station in the Overmind, the highest reach of the mental consciousness.

It was needed that the Overmind first descends into the physical matter before the Supermind could descend upon earth. Overmind was until now the highest accessible consciousness and hence its descent into matter was needed before the Supermind, which is still further could descend.

It is as if one cannot jump to the last step before going through the connecting links, or else there may be a stumble.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

In her conversations with Mona Sarkar on revolutionaries, the Mother mentioned that Subhas had quite illumined psychic after seeing his picture. Then how did he go into the asuric camp? 🤔

Which book of Mona da is it mentioned? I have not come across it. Would like to see the reference. Sri Aurobindo’s own assessment of him was that he was a passionate sentimental idealist with the streak of ambition that drove him. Of course this comment refers to his personaity and nature in this life. It is not any judgment ….
