AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Whenever I sit quiet, praying to Mother, everything seems to be settled. But when I go in the real world, I feel that people take me granted as my polite humble approach towards all. Why people show of their power and dominance always? Even the absolute power is the divine only. I have mild autism spectrum disorder, I always find out difficulties with communication and over all social behavioural things with people and especially when people are dominating.

People are what they are because of various reasons. We cannot change them. What is important is how should we deal with them. With regard to controlling others we can differentiate between three types of human behavior.

First are those who like to push and control others because they have a strong vital ego. It is difficult to communicate meaningfully with such people. The best way to deal with them is to ignore them as they learn only through the hard way that life flourishes best when we allow each one their time and freedom and space to grow. Indifference is the best response one can give to them though it is not always practicable especially if they are in charge of your work.

The second type have a strong mental ego with a rigid mindset and fixed opinions. One can try to discuss with them and reason out issues.

The third are understanding in nature and believe in balance and harmony. These are the best but few. It is good if one has a friend like that. If there is someone of this nature around you, then heed their advise.

It is also good to learn to be a little assertive and speak out what you honestly feel. There is a tact in communicating your feelings without hurting others. With practice we can develop it. Whenever you feel overwhelmed practice calling the Mother and learn to draw Her Peace and build a zone of Her Protection around you.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. πŸ₯ΈπŸ’πŸ’’[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
