AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Please clear one of my doubts as it is not getting clear by the above reply i.e. is everyone has to pass through these stages of Pashu, Pisacha, Pramatha, Rakshasa, Asura, Deva, Siddha one by one or there also may be a case where one leaps directly from Pashu or Pisacha to Deva and Siddha without undergoing the middle stages of Pramatha, Rakshasa or Asura? What is the meaning of Pramatha? What is the difference between Pisacha, Rakshasa and Asura🤨?

Pramathas are beings who live by the senses. You will find plenty all around. Pisachas are those who live in the lower vital worlds and draw upon the energies, resources and forces of others, stealing and robbing them. Rakshasas are those who are destructive, violent, crude and abusive. Asuras are intellectuals who misuse their knowledge for furthering their empire and ambition. Everyone has to pass through these stages though one can go through them rapidly or slowly.

Also,it may happen that a person takes many births but does not make much effort to rise above whereas someone with lesser no. of rebirths with his conscious efforts makes great progress and take a leap in his ladder of evolution so it may happen that a person with less no. of rebirths is more evolved than the one with more no. of rebirths? Please correct me if i am wrong.

Not necessarily. The lesser births and leaps are the narrow intense journey, faster but not richer. The other journey is slower but wider and eventually more complete. To each his own.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

One has see it through a continuum of lives. Here is a letter of Sri Aurobindo where he speaks about the readiness. ‘It goes without saying that the qualities you speak of are helpful in the approach to the spiritual path, while the defects you enumerate are each a serious stumbling-block in

This is a question from my mother. After listening to your talk about the Mother’s Aspects in Savitri, she wanted to know about Ashtalakshmi and what they represent. Also, what was their role as the eight wives of Sri Krishna? What is the difference between their love and Radha’s love for Sri Krishna? 👰🏼🦚😊🙏🏻🌷

The eight wives of Sri Krishna are the eight aspects of Nature-forces or Nature-energies from the subconscient, earthly to the higher heavenly kind. By wedding to their Lord, these nature forces find their right balance within …
