AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Spirituality

I see a lot of people nowadays in the spiritual community going for Vipassana retreats. I don’t need to explain what it is. On the other hand, a lot of devotees of Mother don’t spend many hours meditating. To my rational mind, it seems like those who practise vipassana 10 hours a day seem to be making a lot of progress because of their tapasya. On the other hand, I feel no inclination to follow this path. Can you give an overview of the significance of vipassana meditation from the Integral Yoga’s standpoint🤔?

Vipassana meditation is a good practice to quieten the mind. The same can be achieved through the practice of Witnessing or inculcating the Sakshi bhav.

Invitation to Travel. Let’s cast off the moorings of the mind for the open sea. What is the difference between a mental solution and a spiritual solution? A mental solution to a conflict between two or more people will always be shaky and may become the cause of new problems, right? Seeking a mental solution is energy-consuming because we want to understand, and in order to understand, we can lose sleep. We think about it all the time! The difficulties encounter, the challenges are like goads. We go from involution to evolution⛵.

It is not just a question of consuming Time and Energy. It is a question of qualitative difference between the mental consciousness and the spiritual.

With all our gods and goddesses😇, why did we suffer such violence, such brutality at the hands of these savages for 1500 years? And still suffering to these day, wherever we are the minority. What’s the point of having all these gods and goddesses if they can’t protect their people? Where are they hiding? Why are they watching from a safe distance while we go extinct here?

I came across these difficult passages from the Vedas📖. The following are the mantras: I shall now disclose that the father produced seven kinds of food through meditation and rites. One is common to all eaters. Two he assigned to the gods. Three he designed for himself. And one he gave to the animals. On it (food) rests everything-whatsoever breathes and whatsoever breathes not. Why are not these foods exhausted although they are always being eaten? He who knows the cause of this inexhaustibility of the food eats food with pre-eminence (pratika). He obtains identity with the gods and lives on nectar. [Yajur Veda, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad I, V-Manifestations of Prajapati, 1] What are the 7 kinds of food, what is meant by 2 he assigned to the gods?

Food involves all that we take in, consume. Prana or life energy is common to all. Material food is given to animals and all that

Yesterday I was just laid on my bed looking at the ceiling listening to music. And I was just thinking of Mother Her Sweetness. I had my eyes open and whilst the music was playing I went into this state of just inexplicable distance. Still with eyes open, I saw a majestic, cosmic, energy with colours I can’t really name. But like a mix of orange and yellow but very subtle colours not powering or crude to the “eyes” (eyes open I don’t know how to explain). Then there were two parts to me. One who was witnessing what’s about to happen and one part of me partaking.

It is a very rare Grace, an experience of the Divine Mother in Her cosmic aspect and the psychic being (the tiny part which is

Each god has two functions related to we humans :-1) In religious sense they are supreme since they can fulfill any legitimate wish to lead a good life but in ignorance. 2) In spiritual sense they are just different aspects of the supreme managing the creation but can be taken as door through which one can pass over to the supreme. Am I understood correctly?

Yes, but with a slight correction. In the religious sense, each god cannot or would not fulfil all the wishes. For example Saraswati can give

As I am Srimad Ramayanam, Srimad Bhagavadam, definitely they give a clear insights about Divine qualities different and higher  than  even Satwic, or ascetic qualities,we come across among Great kings and Rishis, Tapaswins. So personally for me reading SriRama, Srikrishna, Kapila, Vamana , all  very helpful in understanding SriAurobindo’s  evolution theory of Man into Divine. Secretaly every body cherishes to be like SriRama , MotherSita , but feel it’s impossible, so self contented with reading about them, meditating on them, we close the book। But SriAurobindo gives a different dimension to our thoughts that even I can become a Perfect Part of The Divine Lord Rama or The  Divine Mother Sita , embracing some divine qualities from them.

Yes these books help nourish our psychic parts until we are ready to undertake the journey and become what we presently hardly understand.

Can you explain to me the difference between brain🤯 and mind ? Can you rationally explain the existence of something beyond the physical organ. To me it seems obvious that everybody is different because of genetic makeup, their environment etc. but Roshni is saying there is something beyond brain that operates and tried to explain but I can’t see the logic in it nor understand what she’s trying to explain it’s too complex.

That things, even material things exist beyond the limits of the senses is well known, isn’t it. The universe is teeming with very small objects
