AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

World As It Is

Some Hindus speak as if with the coming of modernity🤨, Islam’s role and chapter in history is supposed to have been over but just at this moment in history of industrialism where the entire planet is run on energy with it’s fossil fuel revolution, God has gifted their particular geographical birth places of Islam with the abundance of oil like a treasure of gold mine that’s discovered at the right time, Islamic states like Qatar has investments all over the western world including universities with their oil money. God seemed to have some favouritism against naysayers of Islam from this lens and Saudi just had a 150billion$ military deal with America. Why would goddess Lakshmi shover them with such wealth if they have no future?

Perhaps you are not aware that this store of black gold is limited and it is just a question of few decades that the oil

Last week I was out of town and I noticed that after a days, I was feeling restless and wanting to come back to Pondy. This has happened to me before, whenever I have gone for a vacation. Some people have told me told me that I should go out and experience life outside. However, I don’t want to live in another city, unless I have no other option. Is it a bad thing to want to stay in Pondicherry😳?

It is rather a good sign. It is a sign that you are inwardly very conscious as well as sensitive to the vibrations / forces

Why is it that some 50-year-olds, despite having experienced so much in life and claiming to be wise, still fail to grasp certain basic truths? When I ask them not to think negatively, they insist they’re not being negative, just realistic. They say, “This is how humans are. We have endless responsibilities. You younger ones won’t understand, our minds are always preoccupied.” I can’t help but wonder how, after all these years, they still haven’t learned the fundamentals.😡

Yes some people never really grow up and learn. Instead they take it that whatever they have been or learnt is the ultimate truth and

Dada, my recent discussion with friends regarding mughal history removed from the syllabus. One of the argument that came up was that Hindu Emperor has also distriod Buddhist and Jain temples. Can you put light on this part. If they did there must be some reason to do so and how can I understand it with the point of view of Dharma🤨?

Yes, it is true that there was a time when Hindus and Buddhists and Jains fought against each other for religious and political supremacy. But

Alok da, in one of the training videos of new buddhist monks, I saw that they were made to clean toilets with their bare hands. The idea is to cultivate humility and to learn selflessness, to think of others by leaving the toilet clean for others. The idea is also to pare down one’s ego and obey the elders and their spiritual teachings with necessary obedience. I was shocked to see toilets cleaned with bare hands. Is it required to teach spiritual values? Also, is my shock a result of sheer ignorance of buddhist monastic practices? The monks seem to be changing their character for good though🤔.

I am not sure whether one needs to do that or whether it is this that helps them become good, if at all. If the

You have heard & seen of the recent incidents which happened at Pahalgam as well as in West Bengal in Murshidabad district where Hindus are being mercilessly killed & tortured. The so called religion & its followers have become so treacherous recently. We haven’t seen this kind of hostility in a few years. So i want to ask you that what shall be done at this time & what is the ultimate destiny or fate of these radicals & its false hearted people😱?

Let me share with you my response to the same question asked yesterday. It (the recent shooting of tourists by Islamist terrorists) is a wake

With all our gods and goddesses😇, why did we suffer such violence, such brutality at the hands of these savages for 1500 years? And still suffering to these day, wherever we are the minority. What’s the point of having all these gods and goddesses if they can’t protect their people? Where are they hiding? Why are they watching from a safe distance while we go extinct here?

The gods, i mean the true gods who govern the universe as cosmic managers, do not act in a partisan manner as we would like

Today I have a question regarding Indian Folk Art🖼️. I have no formal education on art but right from my childhood days besides academic studies I always loved to pursue both art as well as craft. After my marriage I travelled to many places & got the opportunity to attend many workshops on various kinds of art. At a later stage in my life I got interested in Indian Folk Art tradition & at present learning Madhubani or Mithila folk art online . But I am a bit confused which one to pursue in the long run ..Indian Folk art or Fine art? As in the Indian Folk art the stories are based on Gods & Goddesses, I would like to know is it advisable to paint the pictures of old traditions or shall we move forward with fine art. All  the Mother’s paintings are fine art so would love to know is there any writing of Sri Aurobindo on the Indian Folk Art? Please tell me your take on this also.

Folk art carries its own charm. But if you ask me from the personal progress point of view then fine arts is certainly better. Aesthetics

Many atheists are living happier lives than theists. At least that is what I think. Believers seek help from divine forces to live a happy life, while atheists live their lives on their own strength and do not take any help from divine powers. Why is this so? Is the concept of divine powers an illusion or are human efforts more powerful than the power of a deity🤔?

But who said that atheists are happier. None is happy upon earth except one who has mastered his ego and conquered his desires, – believing

Why do people say that money can’t buy happiness or peace? With money, we can buy branded things that bring joy. We can fulfill parents’ dreams and our own. We can afford all the material comforts we desire, and these things make us feel happy and content. If we want to visit the Ashram, we can easily go, and that gives us peace. Money gives us the freedom to travel the world, which also brings happiness and peace. So, doesn’t money actually make it easier to experience these things🙄?

Of course if buying branded cloth, traveling around the world, fulfilling parent’s dreams and material comforts is all that one seeks then surely money may
