AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is the information and knowledge the same or different? Why do I ask you, In my daily work, I encounter a few people who are well educated, informative, and have the information about what is going on around the world, They talk about the Gita, Veda but for any event, they have a negative approach, and there are few people, the society called the illiterate, but have the faith on god, do there work very sensually, always have a positive approach to the life. It seems they are happy with what they have. So I ask this๐Ÿค”?

Information is the data we gather through the senses. Knowledge comes when we process the data applying buddhi to what we have read or heard or seen. But this knowledge too is not the highest knowledge since it depends upon the senses which we know are themselves limited. There is a higher knowledge that is truer and independent of the senses because it goes deeper than appearances. But for that higher knowledge the mind must become quiet and learn to submit itself to the vaster Divine Intelligence. However people who read much may develop a kind of mental arrogance that they know so much. Hence they block their doors to higher knowledge. Hence their so called knowledge remains sterile and ineffective for life, especially if their will is weak. On the other hand people who have not read much are generally humble and hence can have a more direct access to knowledge. But of course if someone has read a lot, has used his mental faculties well and is yet humble and surrendered then his mind can become a beautiful channel for the Divine Wisdom to pour.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The Grace is equally for all but since the sadhaks are more open and receptive as well as more prone to attacks, especially when a sadhak has surrendered oneself to the Divine, then quite naturally a special Grace accompanies….

Attachments, expectations, wanting to be the closest are all natural in human love. It is a package wherein the core of love gets covered by a whole set of emotions and passions and the conditioning from the past. It is not easy to just get rid of it in one stroke while keeping the love intact. Even when the mind understands that …
