How do you interpret this Historic Bengal Victory? Also, in 2023, the son of Tamil Nadu’s CM said that Sanatana Dharma should be “eradicated,” comparing it to diseases like malaria, dengue, and COVID-19. Now, his party has lost the election and seems politically “eradicated.” At that time, you had remarked that “paap ka ghada bhar gaya hai aur ahankar ke karan yeh sab bol rahe hain” — which now appears to have come true.
The election results in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal are quite heartening. It shows that people are beginning to discern and look at the larger picture rather than continue defining themselves by language and religion. Perhaps they are beginning to feel part of a larger national sentiment, at least in Bengal. It is a good sign for India. It is like Sri Aurobindo’s homecoming if I may say so.
Hopefully the new nationalist government will live up to its expectation, especially seal the border districts to stop intrusion and allow development to reach the grassroots. Let us hope that the new dispensation rises to the occasion and ushers the much needed, long pending changes.
The taste of victory is always a difficult test. If it brings humility and the spirit of true service then prosperity and glory follows. But one should always be watchful against hubris which opens doors to every downfall and nemesis as happened in the case of previous government. In humility and service is hidden the crown of true glory.
