AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What does it mean to be “Conscious of the whole World” in the Mother’s New Year 1973 message, and how can one enter this Universal Consciousness to realize the Divine? 🌍😯🌷🌼

Dear Alok da, “When you are conscious of the whole world at the same time, then you can become conscious of the Divine.” Every time I come across this New Year Message of the Mother, I am always puzzled. What does it mean ‘To be Conscious of the Whole World’ and how to become Conscious of the whole World at the same time?

[New Year Message 1973: https://incarnateword.in/cwm/15/new-year-messages#p107]

By the whole world is not meant all the details of the outer events happening all the time, though that too can be known.

Becoming conscious of the whole world means to enter into the universal consciousness in which it is possible to know all that needs to be known simply by an act of concentration in that direction. This state is called as the cosmic consciousness, which comes as we come out of the limited ego and widen ourselves. It happens as the mind becomes quiet, the vital free of preferences and desires. We grow into the cosmic consciousness as the egocentricity becomes less and less and we begin to live in and for the Divine instead of the ego.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
