I read Sri Aurobindo, saying Hari Nama Japa isn’t enough to attain the Supramental door. Then what about all those who only do just that? They’ll be reborn again later and must realise the Supermind and finish the Cycle? Why are those people still practicing that? Are they not aware that they’re aiming for only Bhakti and Overmind? Do they not know that Supermind is preceded by Overmind?
P.S. – The fact that He has kept all sorts of human beings living together at the same time is crazy in itself. It’s like He wants to look at himself through the lens of all of us.
We’re all various versions of creatures, which in his sight are various variations of Himself. Yes, I am aware that there’s no other or a separate identification of oneself from the Divine.
Enlighten me, please!
Very few are ready for the Supramental Manifestation. It is a new thing for the earth, an entirely new possibility and hence there are many who are not even aware of it. Besides, the demand of this yoga, especially of complete surrender, is very different from just some vital enthusiasm and a devotion mixed with longing and hurt. Most devotees accept surrender in principle but only on their terms. But the Divine is not fooled by the outer show of devotion. We get only what we have sincerely sought and are ready for. Very few are actually ready, even for a true spiritual life, leading to the cessation from the cycles of rebirth. It is largely a lip-service as people do not know the difference between religious-ethical life and the truly spiritual life. The supramental is still further.Β
Affectionately,
Alok Da
