The Mother had a communication with Sakyamuni i.e. Lord Buddha on 20 December 1916 in Japan. The Mother herself quoted the message received by her from Sakyamuni, along with her Prayer dated 20 December 1916. Later in her Prayer on 21 December 1916, she again described about some communication with Sakyamuni whom she called Lord Mitra.
On 25 December 1916, she quoted a message again (from Sakyamuni) which she heard in the silence last evening. This is evident that she was in direct communication with Sakyamuni during her stay in Japan.
Fom August 1957 to September 1958, during weekly classes with children of Ashram school, the Mother read from and commented on the Buddhist teachings as contained in the Dammapada. These commentaries were later published in CWM Volume III. If you have come across with any such discussion by her, please tell me the references.
Yes there are several references of the Mother with regard to the Buddha, especially in the Agenda when her friend of old days, Mme Alexandra David Neil visited Her. There are other references too. You will find some in the conversation dated March 20, 1965 and another dated February 24, 1965. There is another interesting conversation in the Agenda dated October 22, 1960. Here is a little piece from Her about the Buddha.
‘Every time I had the opportunity, I spoke to her about Buddha’s love; I told her, “But Buddha was full of love!”.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
