AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Can one find true peace in daily activities such as cooking, cleaning and gardening? Someone told her that one can find true peace only through meditation or working in an Ashram department. However, my mother and I feel happy🙂 and peaceful, when we are doing our daily chores

Of course one can find inner peace anywhere and doing any kind of work. One of my earliest experiences was a concrete, solid descent of peace in a town in Punjab while walking back to the Officer’s Mess to watch a movie! What matters is the inner aspiration, the attitude, the inner state. The Divine is everywhere and in everything and anything can become an ocassion for His revelation. In fact working in the Ashram is not easy as it throws up many hidden difficulties and quite a few end up losing their peace. What is true however is that the atmosphere in and around the Ashram is charged with Divine Vibrations and moving in it is like bathing in an ocean of Peace and Light and Joy. But most are like closed containers and no drop of water enters even if it moves inside the sea. The secret is to open to the Mother whatever you do and wherever you are.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The three modes of nature are never aligned. If and when aligned, the Asuras die and the Self is liberated. To do that …

I hear alot that Christian missionaries have a big presence in Andhra Pradesh, India. They are meant to be very rich. What did Sri Aurobindo and Mother say about Christian missionaries and how to manage them?👣🕊️⛪☀️

The Mother and Sri Aurobindo laughed at the stupidity of religous conversions. They saw Religion as a spent force which is destined to be overpassed by the growing spiritual impulse in man. The upsurge of conversions, whatever its temporary success is destined to fail. The evolving human soul cannot be satisfied for long in any …
