AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

When i go to outside in market and my college I don’t feel any positive vibes. I feel I am burning inside. Another I feel lonely inside and also I can’t tolerate the friend circle activities. The environment of college aren’t bearing myself. What should I do😏? I have face the same problem with my learning and examination.

It is understandable and even good that the usual run of the mill kind of activities do not appeal to you. To seek solitude is one of the signs of a budding spiritual life which requires to be nurtured. Too much mixing and socialising is certainly not good for it.

However this need for solitude should not turn into a weakness and incapacity to face and see life in its various shades and hues. One need not participate in activities or discussions that one finds degrading but there is no need to run away or actively shun people.  Facing life with equanimity, going through its ups and downs with courage and face the inner and outer tests without fear is one of the best preparations for a more complete spiritual life itself.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
