AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

As in Gaytri mantra we are invoking the savita which is the source of all consciousness. Atimanas source is also Savita Where is the actual place of atimans in Savita. Jis se sab prasut hua hai wohe savita hai to atimans bhi wohe hai kya. Please give us the clarity?📜🎶📿🙏☀️

Savita is one of the aspects of the Sun which no doubt is the symbol of the Creator, the giver, sustainer and the destroyer of all life. The physical sun is of course only a symbol of it. There are corresponding Suns and Moons in different domains of consciousness.

No doubt the invocation of the Sun, Surya, which is the symbol of the Supermind. Savita is the aspect that gives life and light by its Rays.

It is true that the Rays of the Sun have been invoked in different cultures and worshipped in different traditions as the Creator. The Egyptians worshipped the Sun as Ra, the ancient Greeks as Helios and Apollo, the pre-Islamic traditions as Shams. So what is the new thing about Supermind? The difference is the same between worshipping from afar, invoking its power through the rays to give brilliance to the mind as we see, for example in the traditional Gayatri and, entering the realm of the Solar world consciously, discovering the supramental consciousness at its core, finding ways and means to establish it fully upon the earth so as to transform earthly life under its presence and influence. To take an analogy, it is the difference between understanding the influence of the sun as the life-giver, use its Rays to heal certain illnesses as compared to making solar panels to hold and reflect the energy of the Sun to light up and replace electricity and petrol for everyday life.

In other words while the Supramental Light has been invoked for individual well-being and intellectual brilliance since most ancient times, its full power and the possibility of transforming our entire life (and not just the mind and thoughts, dhimahi), not just an individual yogi’s or aspirant’s life but the life of whole earth and humanity. The difference is in the intensity, fullness, the core and the eventual purpose.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Achilles didn’t exactly save the Greeks. He is no doubt the hero of the Trojan War as portrayed in the Iliad. Though the greatest of the warriors, idea of the Trojan horse was Odysseus’ brainchild. It is primarily his wise counsel as guided by goddess Athena, his strategies that secured the victory. ..

In the context of Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s teachings, I have three questions regarding the future manifestation of Sri Krishna’s divine abode on earth. 🌏🦚😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

1. When the plane of Bliss, Anandamaya loka manifests here, as eventually it must some day, then it will not be exactly as there. If it were so there will be no need of creation at all. The bliss world created here through the process of evolutionary manifestation will be far more perfect. Each being will carry something of Krishna, will be krishnamaya. There ..

What was Mother’s view of classical music? I mean, were there composers that she believed could really be uplifting spiritually? I am interested, as it was around the turn of the 20th  century, in her young age and youth, that a coarser movement in music came to evolve. 🎶🎼😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

If we go through the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother we shall see that they had a great regard for classical music. The Mother especially appreciated Beethoven and to an extent Mozart. She appreciated the music…
