AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I have been reflecting on something lately and finding it a little difficult to navigate through it on my own. What truly is a higher ideal in life for oneself? How does one identify or set a higher ideal for their own self? And once it is set, how does one sincerely work towards it in daily life?💻☕🧘

The highest ideal springs from our highest conception of self and life. If my self is merely the body then the highest would be to preserve it. If it is simply desires and the ego self then satisfying these would become the most legitimate aim. So on and so forth. One has to look inside oneself and reflect and ask what is the one single most important thing for myself? What is it that is most important for me, without which I cannot conceive living? What is the one single aim I can place before myself as a beacon light, the central faith and will-to-be in me? What is my highest conception of life? Spend sometime everyday contemplating upon this question until the true answer emerges from within.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
