AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is it easier to progress as a deathless rose or as a deathless flame or does this differ between individuals?🌹✨♾️💎

The path of bhakti and surrender, as the deathless Rose is certainly easier. Sri Krishna, Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Aurobindo have all affirmed it. However it requires the will and the ability to surrender. Most human are not ready for that. They live too much in the ego and believe there is nothing greater, higher and superior to them. Hence they generally take the path of tapasya of one kind or the other. Until life teaches humility and we are ready for the joy of surrender. Love, devotion, true bhakti and surrender are crowning movements of inner life linking us directly to the Divine. They come when we are ready and are a sign that we are now close to the goal.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

What was Mother’s view of classical music? I mean, were there composers that she believed could really be uplifting spiritually? I am interested, as it was around the turn of the 20th  century, in her young age and youth, that a coarser movement in music came to evolve. 🎶🎼😊🙏🏻🪷[…]
