AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

There’s a contradiction going on inside me. Sometimes I have intense devotion for Sri Aurobindo and sometimes for The Mother. I chant the name of the one who comes to mind. The Lord says, “Open up to the Mother, surrender everything to her.” But what should I do when I feel devotion for the Lord? They are the same, but I don’t experience this, so it’s difficult to see one.โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿชท๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’Ž

Both are one. When you have love and devotion for Sri Aurobindo it automatically goes to the Mother and when you pray to the Mother it automatically goes to Sri Aurobindo as well. They are one in two bodies.

The difference is subtle and in their action. Sri Aurobindo works through the mind lifting the consciousness towards the higher realms. The Mother works through the heart bringing down the Divine into our mind, heart, life and body to transform them. It is for this reason that Sri Aurobindo has pointed out the key role of The Mother in the yoga of transformation.

It is perfectly fine to turn towards both one by one. When the time comes and the consciousness is ready, it spontaneously knows that the two are one and opens and gives itself to The Mother.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It is the struggle that most people of the new generation feel. The simplest way to deal with these things is to stay focused on your goal and not try to change people, however significant or close they may be in your life. To try changing others or to expect them to….

Namastey Alok Da, I was reading some predictions related to Pakistan and China by Mother and Sri Aurobindo on the website, Was the Mother referring to a future event that is yet to manifest, or was this vision specific to that time period and did not occur due to divine intervention or a change in the working of forces? Is there any future possibility where China might invade India?๐Ÿชท๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฎ

She was referring to a possibility, a possibility that was strong at that moment as well remains a risk for the future. Sri Aurobindo also said that they are very restless and saw the threat of Red China invading India through Tibet. As long as the Communist party …

I have been living away from home for almost 9 years for my studies, and currently study in a foreign country. I usually donโ€™t get much lonely and even if I, I get comfortable on remembering the Mother. But for sometime, I am getting too emotional on festivals such as today, which usually results in a fever and impacts my work. How should I deal with it?๐Ÿก๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿงธโ˜•

It is most likely the result of home-sickness arising out of loneliness. Certain circumstances and situations are typically associated in the mind with home or the place where one grew up. They remind us of the fact of being …
