AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dear Alokda: 1) Can we similarise Superman to Brahma Rishis like Vashishtha, Saptha Rishis, Augustiya,  having all capabilities, like them. But Superman here will be evolving from Man on Earth, but those Rishis are Involusionary beings. Am I right in my understanding? 😊🙏🏻🪷🌄[…]

2) Since the creation is cyclic with repetition, there must be a previous Kalpa. Or Manvantra, in which the Superman must have evolved from Man. Maybe some other Divine Personality, like Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, would have done that, or it might have happened on its own evolutionary process. Is there any evidence of Superman in a previous kalpa? Or Manvantra? When you get time, please clarify for me. It is the city of dawn, the city the earth needs, the city of the future

If it had already been achieved, then the path would be there and there would be no need to discover it. In that case the Superman would have been there as the peak of creation and not Man. In that case there would have been no need for a pralaya and by now a new supramental species with luminous deathless body would have already been there. The Rishis themselves would have spoken about it. From all available records, the Rishis did not foresee any such possibility. For them, Brahmagyana and individual Moksha were the highest ideals. The world was for them, in the last analysis, a play of Maya, a bondage of sorts. Also, from all available accounts, while the revered Rishis had the Brahman realisation and their minds were uplifted to great heights, some even had astounding miraculous powers as well, yet it cannot be denied that they had their human parts and their difficulties like anger, passions, attachments, and other difficulties as well. This is not the Superman of Sri Aurobindo. Here are a few letters clarifying this.

‘By transformation I do not mean some change of the nature—I do not mean for instance sainthood or ethical perfection or Yogic siddhis (like the Tantrik’s) or a transcendental (cinmaya) body. I use transformation in a special sense, a change of consciousness radical and complete and of a certain specific kind which is so conceived as to bring about a strong and assured step forward in the spiritual evolution of the being, an advance of a greater and higher kind and of a larger sweep and completeness than that smaller though decisive achievement of the emerging Consciousness when a mentalised being first appeared in a vital and material animal world. If anything short of that takes place or at least if a real beginning is not made on that basis, a fundamental progress towards this fulfilment, then my object is not accomplished. A partial realisation, something mixed and inconclusive, does not meet the demand I make on life and Yoga.’

Hello Dada.. I am in lot of emotional distress and just nothing feels right. I don’t know how to put it in word at some point I feel terrible about myself and at the same time not able to hold it anymore. Things have paradoxically changed. To be honest I have a complete different perception now which is difficult to explain to anyone also sometimes I feel is it a lot of my Ego speaking and thats why the conflicts?👑🦁🎭🪞

It is the struggle that most people of the new generation feel. The simplest way to deal with these things is to stay focused on your goal and not try to change people, however significant or close they may be in your life. To try changing others or to expect them to….

Namastey Alok Da, I was reading some predictions related to Pakistan and China by Mother and Sri Aurobindo on the website, Was the Mother referring to a future event that is yet to manifest, or was this vision specific to that time period and did not occur due to divine intervention or a change in the working of forces? Is there any future possibility where China might invade India?🪷🐘🌍🏮

She was referring to a possibility, a possibility that was strong at that moment as well remains a risk for the future. Sri Aurobindo also said that they are very restless and saw the threat of Red China invading India through Tibet. As long as the Communist party …

I have been living away from home for almost 9 years for my studies, and currently study in a foreign country. I usually don’t get much lonely and even if I, I get comfortable on remembering the Mother. But for sometime, I am getting too emotional on festivals such as today, which usually results in a fever and impacts my work. How should I deal with it?🏡📍🥺🧸☕

It is most likely the result of home-sickness arising out of loneliness. Certain circumstances and situations are typically associated in the mind with home or the place where one grew up. They remind us of the fact of being …
