AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

A couple of days back, I had a horrifying dream. I saw at the main door of my home some mischievous adolescents standing. I got a feeling that they were malevolent and would try to enter my home. 👹🏚️[…]

However, my elder aunt, who is actually very lean and fragile, was standing near the door. So, I asked her to immediately bolt the door from inside. However, by the time I moved to the door to bolt it, those guys tried entering, and the door couldn’t be bolted from the inside completely. Those two adolescents were trying and trick me in every possible way to disturb me and create panic in me by trying to enter the house. Although they could, they didn’t. Some middle-aged people were trying to push them away, but were unsuccessful.

However, I could at last bolt the door from within and was talking to my mother that we are finally fine. Then all of a sudden, a huge beast, some 8 ft high and heavily built with a pale greyish complexion like the colour of ash, broke down the door and entered my home. His expression was not furious, but looked like he was on a mission and had been specifically called because these adolescents couldn’t accomplish their task of breaking down the door and entering my house. My mother and I were discussing that he is for sure a rakshasa.

Then I felt he did something to me, and I was unable to open my eyes. Somehow, I tried forcibly opening the right eye and failed to open the left eye completely. I was not afraid throughout the dream, but I could sense that I was disturbed. I even tried remembering the Mother’s words that if you courageously look at the tiger, even that will turn into a cat. I tried that, but something was pulling me down from achieving that success…

What could this dream mean?

The dream means an attempt by the forces of the vital world to return, as they were during your adolescence. There are, however, benevolent powers that are helping you. Hence, despite all their tricks, they fail, apart from creating some disturbance and momentary inability to see things clearly.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The children born to those who believe in the yoga of shri maa and shri aurobindo and practice this yoda are considered to be fortunate. I have heard that children born after 1956 are born a new  consciousness .The child of this seeker I am talking  about was born after 1956 and  why is it that the children of such a seeker not only do not have faith in shri maa and shri aurobindo but also harbor aversion towards Sri maa and Sri Aurobindo ?

There is no such absolute rule. It is a general statement that the Mother made that the children born after 1960 are different. In Her conversation She didn’t mention children of devotees. The phrase ‘especially to devotees’ is in Udar da’s recount. Besides the word devotee is very loosely used. Most ‘devotees’ have a religous belief and a …
