AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I work in a Brain Injury Unit. I see patients who are Unconscious for years and years together. I always wonder if they are Conscious of their surroundings. Why are their soul locked inside? Do they still have Vital? 🏥😳

Actually, there are different kinds among these. There are those whose souls are very much intact and even growing through the experiences in the inner being, somewhat like in a dream state. In all likelihood, they do receive the thoughts and the general state of consciousness of those around. Studies do indicate that their brain do respond to external stimuli, so things are getting registered even though not as they would in the waking state. Possibly, touch and smell remain intact for a long time, even when eyes, ears, and taste are not functioning.

However, it does happen sometimes that the soul has departed and the senses leaving only the body as a living shell kept functioning artificially. Sometimes these bodies may be occupied with small little vital entities to have a taste of the human house.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

What is the true identity of “Mām” in Gita 10.3? If Krishna’s physical form is no longer physically accessible post-disappearance, does “Mām” point to the eternal Atman / Supreme Consciousness rather than the embodied Avatara? 📖🕉️

Sri Krishna himself answers this in the Gita. He is not there as the physical Krishna since He declares Krishna as one of his vibhutis, – ‘I am Krishna among the Vrishnis, Rama among those who have paurush….’.

Nor is he the Atman that is present in all. He declares Himself to be both Kshara and Akshara as the Purushottama, the Avatar.
