For such a life, three foundations are essential: Sumati (clarity and right discernment), Samarthya (inner and outer capability), and Samruddhi (material and situational abundance).
My turn toward spirituality is not an escape from the world, nor a rejection of material fullness, but an attempt to align myself with the deeper principles of power, intelligence, and creative force that govern existence — so that life may be lived consciously, abundantly, and with strength.
To move toward this vision, I have begun a disciplined practice of invoking the Divine Mother through daily japa of the mantra:
“ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः । ॐ ह्रीं तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं । ॐ श्रीं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि । ॐ क्लीं धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् । ॐ नमः।”
In this practice, I contemplate Hreem as the awakening of Sumati (clarity and right discernment), Shreem as the flowering of Samruddhi (abundance and prosperity), and Kleem as the ignition of Samarthya (strength, capability, and decisive force).
At present, this sadhana is my primary means of progression. I possess knowledge and conceptual understanding, yet I find within myself a lack of living inspiration to act in accordance with that knowledge. Therefore, I turn to this mantra not merely as ritual, but as a conscious invocation of the energies required to translate understanding into embodied action.
I have been engaged in this mantra-sadhana since 2019, yet I do not perceive any meaningful or tangible progress in my life. I seek guidance on how I may advance more effectively and accelerate my growth in this direction.
I wish to state clearly that I hold a deep conviction that through these rituals — through the worship of Adi Shakti — grace will one day manifest for me and my family. My faith in the ritual sciences described in the tantric shastras , particularly in mantra-vidya, is strong and unwavering.
The great gods and goddesses have to be approached with great humility and surrender. They see the truth behind the rituals and act on the basis of this knowledge not only about what is going on in our heart but also the impact that certain gifts may have upon our future. They cannot be compelled by our prayers. Prayers and rituals done with love will draw the great cosmic powers near and this nearness is bound to have a beneficial effect upon your life, especially upon the growth of your inner being in terms of faith, devotion, surrender, growth of inner peace and joy and aspiration, growth of wisdom and love. There will be also a protection against certain harmful forces. But the outer things and objects of life such as money and name and fame etc belong to a complex web of karmic forces that are not easy to dislodge. This working out of karma belongs to Kala and only the Kali aspect of the Divine Mother can override it. But She requires a tremendous inner sincerity and freedom from desires and egoism to act otherwise Her action can be shattering. That is why it has always been adviced that one should cleanse and purify oneself of egoism, pride, vanity and desires, including the desire to be great as even this is a form of pride and comes in the way of our surrender.
This is what I would suggest. I would also advice that you read Sri Aurobindo’s book The Mother and surrender yourself completely in the hands of the Supreme Divine Mother. She will take care of everything that is needed without any need of even asking Her. The Divine Mother knows our every need and when we trust ourselves entirely in Her hands then all that happens is the very best even if we are unable to understand it at that moment.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
