AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Nowadays (after the heavy, cruel attack in the name of God), I lost interest in my daily regular prayers for Bhakthi, Mukthi, and personal श्रेयस् प्रेयस्, but I understand the necessity for World Peace and in particular we Bharatiyas’ कर्तव्य in promoting the Shanti among lives on Mother Earth. 😊🙏🏻🪷✨[…]

That way, I remember our Great Rishis, Sri Krishna, Sri Rama, our Mother, and Sri Aurobindo very much with Gratitude. And now I am realising if one wants the well-being of the world in its totality, in this Yuga, we should join hands with Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and work with Them.

That is the only way to help The Humanity, if one is serious about this. Without joining hands with the Divine, it’s impossible to establish this peace and Divinity on Earth. Sri Aurobindo and The Mother have come with the same purpose, with a definite solution and help. We should immediately understand and take their Grace to work for the Divine, towards its Divine Goal.

But this thought and this clarity are given to me by my Guru and Srimathe and Swami ji, who are constantly leading me in my life towards the Divine. Though My Guru, Srimathe, Swami ji has not taken up this task directly in their agenda in their manifestation here, yet now They are guiding me towards the fulfilment of my human life by guiding me towards Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. So Sri Aurobindo’s thoughts and His ideas are impressing me more nowadays. This is my current understanding and my present position now.

Yes, there is a narrower spirituality that focuses on the individual Mukti and a wider, higher spirituality that goes much further in its seeking for the good of the world.

Yes, it is a sign that your consciousness is growing and your aspiration is taking a more and more wider and cosmic character. As the aspiration grows, the path also becomes wider and the Divine, too, appears to us in forms more suited to the new aspiration. The real journey is not the journey of the outer personality that we know by a certain name and form, but the journey of the soul within, which is led from life to life with the torch of aspiration and faith.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I saw your recent video, where you gave the example of Champaklal ji, who walked out on listening to the Bhajans of Gods. I myself enjoy devotional music a lot. Do I need to stop listening to it as a part of Yoga? 🕉️🎶😇🙏🏻🌷

What was being refered to are the stock and standard Bhajans which hardly fall into the true category. But there are beautiful soul-uplifting bhajans with equally beautiful music that flows from the depths which is even helpful at one stage of sadhana, especially in the preliminary stages. An example of the former type could be, ‘suna hai …

Dada, I watched the Movie Dhurandhar (Part 1 & 2). The struggle of the main character felt like a present-day Arjuna. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Is there any Spiritual Lesson we can take from it? 🏹😊🙏🏻🎞️🌻🎬

From the archetype point of view, the character of the main protagonist (hero) in this film is more like Abhimanyu except that it ends up with a happier fate. Like Abhimanyu, he enters into the enemy ranks from where coming out was near impossible. He is trained but inexperienced, again like Abhimanyu. He is valiant, courageous, puts …

In one of your lectures on “Planned Action and Divine Action,” you mentioned that when we are praised or felicitated, one should neither deny it nor take personal pride in it. 🙁🤷🏼‍♂️🪷✨[…]

Yes, if one looks within and finds that one has done what best one could do in a given situation, then one should remain inwardly quiet and see why one gets disturbed by the criticism. It is generally either because one expects some appreciation or praise or at least..
