AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I am trying to follow the path shown by the Mother and Sri Aurobindo. I love reading their works and Savitri. By this reading and your enlightening talks have helped to ignite a fire of aspiration in me. Now I know that whatever I do in my outer life, my final destination and ultimate aim is to collaborate Their work upon Earth. Last month I was in Pondicherry for a week and enjoyed my stay their but while returning back I was very much sad because of the pain of separation was so intense. The separation from Pondicherry and Ashram just becomes unbearable at that moment. Can you please tell me how should I face such situation? is this the psychic sorrow?🥺🖤🌧️🌩️

The night I reached at home in Pune I cried intensely in my room. But after sometime the feeling went into the background. But it comes up time to time whenever I come across anything related to them especially any documentary with The Mother’s music in it. I feel a deep pain in the chest area.

It is very much a psychic sorrow and the sign that you are not only meant for this yoga but who knows, at some point of time, make this your living place. The Ashram is your true home and The Mother and Sri Aurobindo are our parents. But right now prepare yourself for their work and wait for the imperative call one day. Until then come as and when you can, twice or perhaps thrice a year, until the day when you can live here permanently one day.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It is a beautiful aspiration. Nourish it by taking The Mother’s Name within you. Nurture it by regular study of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother’s Words. Do all you do in the spirit of nishkama karma and practice equanimity in the face of all outward disturbances. Offer all you do to the Divine Mother. That is the main thing required. The …

Dear Sir, Namaste. I had a dream in which I was sightseeing in Ayodhya. It was totally different from the real city in every aspect. There were very large temples and monuments, some of which I remember were statues of a horse, a peacock, and an open court of a king; these were stone structures as tall as the Eiffel Tower. 💭🤔🛕🦷🌄[…]

In life, when you come to a junction where you are aware and conscious of your inner self, conscious of the conflicts that happen between mind and vital, conscious of your psychic [at least a bit] and offer everything at HER feet [mostly] but feel conflicted between the outer system we are in and the inner call.. 👧🏼🏛️😟🙏🏻❤️‍🩹🌼[…]
