AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Last night, I dreamt of you again—it felt as though the dreams were unfolding like a continuous series. There was a classroom where you were teaching something….💤😴🌙☁️

My two friends and I were sitting at the back; instead of paying attention to my book, I looked at my mobile phone, whereupon you walked over and gave me a smack on the back of the head. Next, you were at my maternal grandparents’ home, where my entire family was gathered. They were all asking you various questions. You told them, “God gave me two coins: one worth 7 and one worth 1. I chose the one worth 1.” Then, there you were again—this time holding a gun—accompanied by someone else dressed in a police uniform. You were firing shots at someone; subsequently, they threw a bomb at you, causing both of you to retreat. Then, I found myself in a certain location where bombs were raining down one after another, yet I remained completely unharmed. Finally, I saw numerous helicopters hovering in the sky. One of them landed in my village, and gunfire erupted; they began killing everyone there. I felt an excruciating pain deep within me, believing that my daughter, too, had been killed—though I could not actually see anything.

The first dream is about the need for concentration and one-pointedness.

The second dream is about the long journey through the seven-fold opening of the centres one by one and, on the other hand, concentrating and surrendering to the One alone.

The third dream is about the need for vigilance.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Achilles didn’t exactly save the Greeks. He is no doubt the hero of the Trojan War as portrayed in the Iliad. Though the greatest of the warriors, idea of the Trojan horse was Odysseus’ brainchild. It is primarily his wise counsel as guided by goddess Athena, his strategies that secured the victory. ..

1. When the plane of Bliss, Anandamaya loka manifests here, as eventually it must some day, then it will not be exactly as there. If it were so there will be no need of creation at all. The bliss world created here through the process of evolutionary manifestation will be far more perfect. Each being will carry something of Krishna, will be krishnamaya. There ..

What was Mother’s view of classical music? I mean, were there composers that she believed could really be uplifting spiritually? I am interested, as it was around the turn of the 20th  century, in her young age and youth, that a coarser movement in music came to evolve. 🎶🎼😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

If we go through the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother we shall see that they had a great regard for classical music. The Mother especially appreciated Beethoven and to an extent Mozart. She appreciated the music…
