AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

In your recent talk on the Gita, you mentioned the Death of Aurangzeb. How did he die? What was his Psychological Condition? ⚰️🀨🌾🌾

His last few years were marked by an increasing sense of disappointment with himself, bordering on depression. He was tormented with suspicion, guilt and repentance for having sinned against God as well as his own people. There were multiple regrets, especially for not having been able to conquer the Marathas. There were fears as well, having seen a recent defeat of his army while fighting against Guru Gobind Singh ji.Β

It was quite a miserable departure, feeling lonely and remorseful.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
