AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How could Sri Aurobindo never get angry or blame people despite difficult circumstances? What was His mental state that He could remain so dispassionate? How can one arrive at that state?πŸ§˜πŸ˜ŠπŸŒΌπŸƒ[…]

I try to remain unaffected around certain people and situations, but I think it does affect me. In this sense, even if I remain mentally calm and do not react, I feel some part of me shuts down emotionally.Β  Why do I feel sad and not liberated when I do not respond to emotionally triggering situations?Β Β

This state is the result of Kalyan Sraddha, or the faith that all will be well regardless of the appearances. With absolute trust in the Divine, there comes absolute Peace. It is also the result of deep compassion and love that does not blame people but understands their real difficulties and has a benevolent attitude towards them. By growing in love towards Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, one begins to grow into their likeness, and full of Peace and Calm simply because of a progressive identification with their consciousness.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dear Sir, Tobacco, I know you have said in your talks that it must be avoided (my guess, something to do with lower vitals). I have been an on-and-off recurring Tobacco addict for about a decade (30 years old). In the past, for different reasons, I stopped, but again I relapsed; this cycle continued. There were struggles, guilt, shame, etc. But, last night something happened. πŸš¬πŸ˜£πŸŒƒβ€οΈβ€πŸ”₯🌻 [….]

What happened is indeed the Divine Mother’s Grace for whom nothing is impossible. It is a clear sign that She is with you, watching over you and leading you towards your true destiny.Β
