Prayer and calling Her Name is of course the main stay for changing the curve of karma along which one is walking. Especially when the prayer that emerges is a spontaneous need to align ourselves, our life and circumstances, everything according to the Divine Will.
However, since it is karma, there is also a necessity to do something ourselves as well. What this means is that we look within and see why we are not able to find the time needed to read and more importantly, what is coming in the way of our soul’s true need. It is a whole world that we discover. Then we can start slowly aligning ourselves bit by bit. For example, we find that we can take out some time in spite of our busy schedule. With a little bit of time management and prioritisation of things, we can take out time to sit and meditate, however briefly. Even a few moments are enough to turn the tide and veer us from the fixed curve of karma and tilt the journey in another direction. When this little effort is added to the illimitable Grace through faith, prayer and calling Her Name and offering our actions to Her, then it becomes much easier for the Divine to act. This is so because He can then take support of this little portion, which is actually trying to change things and enter and occupy us in totality. A little opening is enough.
Meanwhile, one should always continue with the practice of niskama karma, equanimity and Remember and Offer.
Affectionately
Alok da
