AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Energy Vampires 🦇— if after talking to a person you feel completely drained on a regular basis, does this indicate they’re an energy vampire? How to protect ourselves against such people, and how to spot them? The other observation I had is that when I am feeling strong in my vital, I can push back, while when I am feeling vitally low and dull, I become the victim of such people. Hence, the second part of the question is how to develop this vital strength to resist negative influences?

Yes there are sex vampires who draw away energy from others, especially by attracting the victims towards themselves. But this is fortunately not common. There are lot of people who even otherwise draw energy and in whose atmosphere one may fall sick. The best thing to do when you come in contact with such people is to remain inwardly detached, communicate very little with them and call the Mother inwardly. If you feel they are drawing the energies, then put the Mother between you and them. Invoke Her White Light and surround yourself with Her Presence. What is needed is wideness and strength in the lower vital parts, especially freedom from excess of anger, ambition, fear and sex which often open the door. The more one is able to get rid of desires, the more one has faith and the more one is able to establish a settled peace in these parts, the more one is able to grow strong in these parts and shield oneself against such forces.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The Sri Aurobindo Sadhanalaya in Ayodhya is no doubt quite a beautiful place full of deep spiritual vibrations. The vigraha of Hanuman ji is jagrat, possibly due to the bhakti of Babaji Maharaj who lived there before coming to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry. It is indeed a beautiful story. Even the other temple on the other …

Based on chapters 1, 2, and 3 of The Life Divine, I was wondering how Sri Aurobindo comes to the conclusion that an omnipresent reality exists and that only this reality explains the universe. 🌌🙂🙏🏻🪷[…]

The logic trail is as follows. Human beings, cutting across the differences in time, space and education seek or aspire for some ultimate of  freedom,  knowledge, truth, power, joy. The seeking is universal and hence suggestive of these things (we seek) hidden somewhere. ..
