AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

In some cultures, a man is not considered to be a man unless he served in the military. Is there any truth in this statement🫤?

In certain ancient cultures it was necessary because of the dangers around. Man had lost his instinctive touch with material Nature and had not yet fully entered the stage of mental evolution with reason as the organising principle of society. Invasions and plunders were a common way of life. Hence the need of heroism and centering of life around the kshatriya warrior type was needed. It was the heroic age of mankind with its gifts of strength, courage, nobility, honour, valour, chivalry, self respect, sacrifice etc. Now the demand of the Time Spirit is different. But it is true that one cannot be truly a man (or equally a woman) without embodying the qualities of the warrior soul. That is the secret reason behind the challenges of life that one must face to rise through them victorious and, having been schooled through the battle of life deserve the cup of immortality.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
