AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How to apply the teachings of Integral Yoga in day-to-day life. Finding the Divine in everything or He revealing it in all is one thing, but should one as an individual always chase Perfection? πŸ§‘πŸΌβ€πŸ’ΌπŸ’πŸ—ƒοΈπŸŒΌ[…]

The question is whether to lean towards developing a skill more deeply or switching through multiple projects & getting them delivered/completed with other skilled individuals? Prior is costly in terms of time and later in terms of money. Finding a middle ground may not be perfect, but practical for sure. But is practicality what one pursues more than Perfection?

For Perfection, doesn’t focus or concentration is a basic requirement that’s doing only a limited thing, but a variety of them.Β Eg, One’s profession is one thing (salary/job doing best), but also chasing new ideas/solutions/products to make the existing world a much better place for the Divine to experience?

The first thing needed is a shift of motives, a reorientation, a turning away inwardly from a life centered around the satisfactions of the ego and desire, a life in pursuit of pleasures and outer success, to a life dedicated to the discovery of the Divine within and to express the Divine through all we do, to live life for the higher Purpose. It is not about finding the middle ground, but the inner ground and then take a leap of faith. If the aspiration is sincere and one genuinely surrenders oneself and one’s actions to the Divine Mother, then all the inner and outer help comes and slowly one grows into the perfection one is meant to grow into.Β

Read the works of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, especially The Mother by Sri Aurobindo, Elements of Yoga and try to put into practice, in whatever limited way you feel inclined and inspired. The rest will come.

Affectionately,

Regarding the Four Aspects of the Mother, Alok da, I sense a parallel in Sri Aurobindo’s evaluation of various poets in which they excel and in which they lack. Poets like Keats have a lyrical sweetness and beauty but lack vital power and raw force, which a poet like Browning has. πŸ“œβœ’οΈπŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·[…]

Yes. Not only in poetry as you have rightly pointed out, but in everything, in the least atom and grain of sand one can see the working of the four aspects and the Knowledge and Power of the Divine Mother hidden behind it.Β ..

Today evening while meditating on mother’s organ music on fairy dance, firstly I saw a living mountain having two big eyes and it was seeing all around with those eyes and then a number appeared again and again in that vision it is a number 349 what does it’s means sir.

The living mountain is the physical consciousness under the influence of the Psychic aspiration. 349 perhaps means the 3 lower and 4 higher planes that are embedded or involved within the physical consciousness represented by number 9. The dream implies that your physical consciousness is open to the Divine Influence.
