AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

This question is related to a series of experiences I am having. As I have turned to the Mother and Sri aurobindo, I feel very close to mother kali which is weird because before this I Have never in my life prayed to a female deity. Kali ma is showing her presence every time I think of her. How do I pray ๐Ÿ™to her in a way Sri Maa would like me to?

In Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga there is no separate praying to different powers and aspects of the Divine Mother that may become prominent in their action from time to time. Kali brings intensity and force. Her presence and working implies an intensification of aspiration and sincerity in the whole being. It implies that the sadhak must increase the intensity of aspiration, cultivate sincerity and frankness with the Divine Mother and give oneself to Her in deep love.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Pitru dosha are supposed to be the shadows we carry through generations in a family. It is a purely astrological concept and is not necessarily validated by spiritual experience. The prescribed rituals hardly work and more …

I am unable to understand this said by The Mother. Please explain to me: “You must use everything for the purpose for which it is given, otherwise you commit a crime. I am not speaking merely of physical things. All the inner things that I am giving you all the time, all the strength, light, energy and life that are being poured into you all the time, are meant for the service of the Divine, for the sake of transforming you. If you use them for any other purpose, you are a robber and your crime is the worst possible.” ~ The Mother (CWM 13:183)

It means that all the capacities that we have, – physical, vital, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, should be offered at the Feet of the Divine for His Work and Service. Most of the time however we take these capacities to be …
