AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What can we do to obtain It as soon as possible? Should we do ‘Naamsmaran/Naam Jap’ (chanting/recitation of names) for 24 hours? 🫥

Impatience delays the progress in spiritual life. It means a lack of faith and surrender. One should not undertake the yoga for any personal gains or having certain experiences. It makes the ego and vital nature prominent which itself bars the way. Instead of 24 hour japa one should follow the path shown by the Gita and by Sri Aurobindo. First one should train the desire self through nishkama karma, tame the ego through equanimity and let the Remembrance of the Mother go on in the background.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
