AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Alok da, if divine is everywhere, why I feel repelled at places like pan parlour, parties where people are smoking hukka, dirty toilets? Earlier could manage these places now I just can’t bear these places? Why i don’t have this samtha in me🫤?

Yes the Divine is everywhere and in everything but as the secret essence. However this Divine Presence is covered with a crust of ignorance that is part of earth nature. It is as if a pure diamond was covered by coal tar and hence nothing could be seen of it and no ray of light escape from the diamond through the dense cover.

Where the cover is very thick due to the rajo-tamasic or Asuric nature, there it is very difficult to feel the Divine Presence. Where the cover is relatively thin, rajo-sattwic or Daivi nature, there it is relatively easier to feel. When our nature has begun to grow in the Daivi mould, we feel repulsed by the Asuric tendency and people embodying them because it is needed for our growth into the deva type. But afterwards we must go further and discover the Divine Presence within us. Once that is done, it is easier for us to feel the Divine Presence in all. Until then one has to take it as an article of faith so that qualities such as tolerance, benevolence, compassion etc can develop.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

This is an alternate version which is clearly suspect. The original story is clearly symbolic of the triple forces of Nature, Sattwa, Rajas and Tamas, the three chariots of three asura brothers, notably of gold, silver and iron. The three modes of nature are never aligned. If and when aligned, the Asuras die and the Self is liberated. To do that …

I hear alot that Christian missionaries have a big presence in Andhra Pradesh, India. They are meant to be very rich. What did Sri Aurobindo and Mother say about Christian missionaries and how to manage them?👣🕊️⛪☀️

The Mother and Sri Aurobindo laughed at the stupidity of religous conversions. They saw Religion as a spent force which is destined to be overpassed by the growing spiritual impulse in man. The upsurge of conversions, whatever its temporary success is destined to fail. The evolving human soul cannot be satisfied for long in any …
