AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dear Alok da,as you may know, there will be a partial solar eclipse on 29th March. I don’t think it is just a coincidence that it falls on the same day as the Mother’s first arrival in Pondicherry. Could you please explain to me the significance of this event?

Solar eclipse works both ways. By cutting the direct impact of the energies of the sun it can set in gloom and despair in the susceptible, but at the same time, greatly increase the aspiration in those who are ready. That is the lesson of the story of Hanuman, who as a child, rushes towards the sun at around the same time when the eclipse is about to set in.

What it means therefore is that while it would bring fear and its consequences in the mind and hearts of the evil doers who, in the rush of the moment may increase their dark activities, it will also increase the aspiration in those who are destined to cross over to the New Creation.

Falling on the 29th March when the Mother met Sri Aurobindo implies that the power of the Divine Forces, the supramental will be too strong for the darkness to bear. Their coming out in the open will be only a prelude to their exposure and destruction.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Namaste Alokda, I have been reflecting on the following passage from The Synthesis of Yoga: “But neither is that order or the execution of the universal will altogether effected by mechanical Law, but by powers and forces of which for human life at least human will, aspiration and faith are not among the least important.” (page-566-567) 📖😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

This is absolutely correct understanding. Very simply put  the Divine Will is not a mechanical determinism but a living conscious process. It will fulfil itself is the first most important fact. But this fulfilment is not through an arbitrary disregarding of all other …

Sri Aurobindo and The Mother often refer to the Bible, so is Christ considered an Avatar like Krishna? If so, why doesn’t He speak of Rebirth? Many sincere Christians believe Christ is the sole path to salvation attainable in just one lifetime. ✝️🦚😊🙏🏻🪷[…]
