We should not worry about how others see us or think about us. What matters is how correctly we see ourselves and even more importantly how the Divine sees us.
I won’t go as far as calling her a Mir Jafar though there are plenty of them in India. But it is truly a pity that ambition and need for limelight has taken the better of her. Ambition is always a dangerous bedfellow to the true spiritual life. I quite understand this. But there is behind all this a realpolitik going on. There is a time to wait and prepare, and a time to strike. The government is buying time while it is discovering the Achilles heel of all involved. Surely the government has its own Achilles heel which strangely is being saved by the protesters, perhaps unwittingly. ..
