AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Recently I had a breakup with my fiancee and he had insulted me in a very bad and wrong manner. How to deal with this situation. ? I am also not able to sleep properly. Kindly help me.

A person who insults a loved one is certainly not worth shedding tears for. Mutual respect is one of the most important elements of a healthy relationship. Though certain amount of pain is natural due to attachment yet if you step back and look at it a little dispassionately you have only to thank the Grace for forcibly pulling you out of a relationship that would have only led to an increasing pain and suffering in the long run.

Instead of brooding over what has happened it will be best to keep yourself busy with work. Go also for vigorous physical exercises and workout. If possible, take a break and spend some time in retreat in a place that is quiet and full of spiritual vibrations. Write a diary in the form of letters to God in whatever form you believe in. Give a little time and everything will settle down and you will be able to see that whatever happened was indeed for good.

Affectionately,

Alok da.

Sometimes, there is a feeling that I am not actively outwardly doing enough to find the right resources or people around for Spiritual Growth. But other times, I feel that I should sincerely aspire within me for the Spiritual Growth and rest, the Mother will arrange it all outwardly. πŸ™‚πŸ”₯🌹

Absolutely, the true spiritual life does not depend upon people, outer practices and resources. It depends upon the call or aspiration within. If the aspiration is there and one is not pursuing spirituality for any benefit or outer ….

I am aware that one should be above personal likes and dislikes toward work. Work should be done as Nishkama Karma. But given limited human understanding, finding one’s Purpose or Work that truly brings joy or the feeling of “this is what I am meant to do” – requires going through the process of active awareness and eliminating whatever doesn’t align with one’s nature. πŸ˜‡πŸŒ„βœ¨[…]

We need to understand that there are in us not one but two natures. One nature is that which operates on the surfaces and is the result of our conditioning and habit of thoughts, feelings, actions that develop in the course of our growing up process.
