The Lord is the Ishwara, the Supreme Lord as the Creator of the Worlds, also known as the Purushottama, Paramatma, Parameshwara in Hindu thought.
She is asking us to trust Him completely and surrender all to Him. It is He who knows and is seeing to everything. He has the power to change everything. But He has His own way that may not fit into our idea of the Divine Omnipotence. We want miracles, but miracles have a temporary effect. They don’t change anything fundamentally.
It is best, therefore, to sincerely surrender to the Divine Will that alone knows what needs to be done as well as when and how it should be done. Consecrating one’s work to the Lord, leaving the result entirely in His hands, is therefore the best thing to do.
Sri Aurobindo is the representative of the Lord. Praying to Sri Aurobindo is easier and simpler as it is easier to connect with someone tangible with a form and name. Connecting with Sri Aurobindo is to connect with the Lord, praying to Sri Aurobindo is to pray to the Lord, consecrating oneself and all one does is to consecrate to the Lord.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
